IANUS is looking for a cybersecurity consultant with a deep understanding of cybersecurity policies, methodologies and the whole cycle of cybersecurity risk management. Related certificates are an added value for any candidate regardless of the academic level. Candidates will be preferred if they have experience in working with information security and knowledge of penetration testing, network security, and the techniques used to expose and correct security flaws. They will become a member of a very dynamic research team, and they will be given training, assistance, and opportunities to develop and increase their skills in this competitive area. Renumeration depends on university degree level and previous working experience.

Candidates should be graduates of technical disciplines of well-established European Universities. Other candidates from recognized institutions are also welcome.

Job Role & Key Responsibilities

As a Team member, you will focus on the implementation and management of European and National research projects in the field of cybersecurity, and you will undertake the following main activities and responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of suitable European innovation dedicated funding schemes;
  • Monitoring and follow-up of project activities.
  • Provide inputs in scientific and research reports.
  • Participate in project meetings and teleconferences.
  • Participate in EU-level working groups and platforms, representing IANUS strategic interests.
  • Prepare project reports and project deliverables.
  • Undertake ISO27001 implementation activities
  • Undertaking tasks in consultancy projects related but not limited to Management Systems, Risk Assessment, Information Classification, Security Awareness, Compliance, ISO/IEC 2700x, PCI-DSS, GDPR
  • Assess clients against a wide variety of security and compliance frameworks including, GDPR, ISO/27001/2 etc.
  • Lead customer risk management engagements and formalized risk analysis engagements and develop recommendations for remediating risk and compliance gaps.
  • Conduct document reviews and interviews against compliance requirements and best-practices.
  • Write deliverable reports.

Job Requirements

  • University degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline, with an emphasis on cybersecurity or bachelor’s degree in these disciplines with relevant experience. The possession of a Ph.D. degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CEH, CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Auditor are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of current cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques.
  • Proficiency in using security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions.
  • Familiarity with security standards, regulations, and laws, such as ISO27001, GDPR.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex security situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Availability to travel for partner meetings and events abroad.
  • Proficiency level in English.

Employment Terms

The position is on a permanent contract basis. Initially, a six-month probation period will apply for the candidate to show he/she skills and capacity. Annual gross salary scaling from 25,000 to 30,000 Euros, depending on qualifications.
