Abstract
The CRYPTOACTION project focuses on strengthening the capacity of European law enforcement authorities to investigate and combat cryptocurrency-facilitated crime and terrorism. It develops interoperable, AI-enhanced tools, training programmes, and collaborative frameworks to improve operational effectiveness, information sharing, and regulatory compliance. Through close cooperation between industry, research institutions, and public authorities, the project promotes secure, transparent, and trustworthy digital investigations. IANUS contributes to these objectives through dissemination, training, and sustainability actions.
The project adopts a holistic approach that combines technological innovation with legal, ethical, and societal considerations. By supporting open science practices, stakeholder engagement, and long-term exploitation strategies, CRYPTOACTION ensures that its results can be effectively transferred to operational environments and policy frameworks, contributing to a safer and more resilient digital ecosystem.
IANUS' Role
IANUS Technologies Ltd is a core beneficiary in the CRYPTOACTION consortium and leads Work Package 9 on Communication, Dissemination, and Exploitation. It coordinates project visibility, stakeholder engagement, and the dissemination of results through public reports, digital platforms, and open-access channels. IANUS also supports standardisation activities, contributes to training and documentation, and promotes ethical and legal compliance. In addition, it participates in capacity-building and sustainability initiatives to ensure that project outcomes remain relevant and impactful beyond the project’s duration.
Furthermore, IANUS collaborates with technical and research partners in the development, validation, and evaluation of project tools and training materials. It contributes to live and online training activities, benchmarking exercises, and user engagement processes, ensuring that the developed solutions meet operational needs. Through its involvement in legal, ethical, and dissemination-related tasks, IANUS helps strengthen the credibility, usability, and long-term value of CRYPTOACTION’s results.
