IANUS’s primary role is to advance the maturation, validation, and exploitation of its CIP-related solution by leveraging the EU-CIP innovation framework. This includes aligning the solution with European operational needs, policy priorities, and emerging standards in the field of infrastructure security and resilience. Through engagement with EU-CIP validation and standardisation activities, IANUS contributes to assessing the technical robustness, security performance, and real-world applicability of its technology in realistic CIP contexts. IANUS is also expected to make systematic use of the EU-CIP innovation support services, including training activities, specialised exploitation-oriented courses, and accelerator programmes. Through this process, the company both benefits from targeted capacity building and provides structured feedback to the EU-CIP consortium, supporting the continuous improvement of the project’s innovation services. This two-way interaction positions IANUS not only as a recipient of support but also as a contributor to the refinement of the EU-CIP innovation ecosystem. A central element of IANUS’s role is the development of a comprehensive business and commercialisation plan, carried out with the support of EU-CIP. ay from research and innovation to deployment and commercial uptake in the European CIP market.
Abstract
EU-CIP (European Knowledge Hub and Policy Testbed for Critical Infrastructure Protection) project is a Horizon Europe–funded initiative (Grant Agreement No. 101073878) aimed at strengthening the resilience, security, and innovation capacity of critical infrastructures (CIs) across Europe. The project establishes a pan-European knowledge network that brings together policymakers, critical infrastructure operators, public authorities, researchers, and technology providers to support evidence-based, data-driven policy making in the domain of Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP).
EU-CIP functions both as a knowledge hub and as a policy and innovation testbed, enabling the validation, assessment, and exploitation of innovative CIP solutions. It provides structured mechanisms for collaboration, standardisation, training, and acceleration, ensuring that technological innovations can move beyond research and towards real-world deployment and market uptake.
