IANUS is thrilled to announce the successful funding of the AVALON project, under the EDF-2023-LS-RA-SMERO-NT call by the European Defence Fund!

The AVALON project aims to develop a powerful technology that will dramatically increase the capabilities of current underwater wireless optical communications by enabling high data rates and near latency-free broadband communications in real time beyond the underwater line of sight and over distances of up to 100 meters. These results are expected to open the door for the realization of novel, highly capable underwater optical wireless networks for military applications.

EURODEF 2024 is a significant brokerage event dedicated to strengthening links and partnerships between SMEs in the defense and security sectors. It is a fantastic opportunity to network with industry leaders, explore potential collaborations, and gain insights into the latest trends and innovations.

IANUS participated at the 15th Conference of the Association of European Threat Assessment Professionals (AETAP), held in Paris, from 22 to 25 of April. In the span of four days, distinguished professionals from academia, industry and law enforcement gave presentations regarding threat assessment and management in a plethora of contexts, from sexual violence to violent extremism.

Georgia Anagnostaki represented the company and the SPIRIT EU project, presenting the Enhanced Vulnerability Assessment Methodology for places of worship.
