IANUS is looking for a talented Research Engineer at any level who is interested in participating in European Research projects. Candidates will become a member of a very dynamic research team, and they will be given the training, assistance and opportunities to develop and increase their skills in this competitive area. Candidates will be preferred if they have knowledge of European funding programs and can engage with partner organizations and funding bodies. Candidates should be graduates of technical disciplines of well-established European Universities. Other candidates from recognized institutions are also welcome.

Location: Larnaca, Cyprus

Job Role & Key Responsibilities

As a Research Team member, you will focus on the implementation and management of European and National research projects in the field of Computer Science and you will undertake the following main activities and responsibilities:

  • Participate in EU-level working groups and platforms, representing IANUS strategic interests.
  • Design prototypes and concepts on fast-paced projects.
  • Update technical work based on agile requirements.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation.
  • Monitoring and follow-up of project activities.
  • Provide inputs in scientific and research reports.
  • Prepare project reports and project deliverables.
  • Participate in project meetings and teleconferences.

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required. The possession of a M.Sc. and/or Ph.D. degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Availability to travel for partner meetings and events abroad.
  • High level in English.

Employment Terms

The position is on a permanent contract basis. Initially, a six-month probation period will apply for the candidate to show he/she skills and capacity. Annual gross salary scaling from 25,000 to 30,000 Euros, depending on qualifications.
