"Security Vulnerability Assessment"

Abstract

SERVE (Security Vulnerability Assessment) is a comprehensive platform designed to support organizations, public authorities, and critical infrastructure operators in the systematic identification, assessment, and mitigation of security vulnerabilities. It provides a structured and scalable approach to evaluating risks across complex environments, including urban settings, critical facilities, and large-scale operations.

At its core, SERVE combines advanced risk assessment methodologies with dynamic, scenario-based questionnaires, enabling users to capture detailed information about assets, threats, and existing security measures. The platform processes this information to generate actionable insights, including risk scoring, vulnerability mapping, and prioritized recommendations tailored to the specific context of each organization.

SERVE supports both strategic planning and operational decision-making by offering a clear, data-driven understanding of security gaps and their potential impact. It facilitates informed investment in protective measures, enhances preparedness against a wide range of threats (including physical, technological, and hybrid risks), and contributes to overall resilience building.

Designed with usability and flexibility in mind, SERVE can be adapted to different sectors and use cases, while also supporting collaboration among stakeholders involved in security planning and incident prevention.

The project NPD-CAPBLD/0225/0001 was funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation, under the «ENTERPRISES CAPACITY BUILDING IN NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT» Programme and through the Recovery and Resilience Facility of the NextGenerationEU instrument.
